Local Sport Grant Program - Sport Development (2019-2020) VOLUNTEER ESSENTIAL SKILL TRAINING

The $2000 grant will be used to provide Safety and Sea Survival training for our volunteers.

The $5000 grant will be used to purchase marine communication equipment.


Jemena Community Grants (2019)

The Jemena Community Grants Program supports community groups, charities, schools and not-for-profits and has awarded us with funding for 30 deserving young people to enjoy a Winds of Joy sailing day in Sydney.

Graeme Wood

The Graeme Wood Foundation (2020)

Supporting environmental sustainability, the Arts, Tertiary Education and improved Justice for Australia's indigenous community, the Graham Wood Foundation has awarded us funds to support our sailing programs.

Volunteers Grant With thanks to the support of our local Federal Member Dave Sharma (Member for Wentworth), we have been successful in attaining $5,000 for office equipment.

Stronger Communities Grant

With thanks to the support of our local Federal Member Dave Sharma (Member for Wentworth), we have been successful in attaining $15,000 Stronger Communities Grant for our Wright of Passage project.

QLD Government

Gambling Community Benefit Fund

The Queensland Government, Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation, awarded us with a $25,000 grant to help us cover the expenses of the 2019 Winds of Joy Queensland campaign.

Coffs Harbour Clubs

ClubGRANTS (2019)

We have been awarded with $4000 from the Coffs Harbour Clubs, ClubGRANTS, to fund a week of Winds of Joy sailing programs in Coffs Harbour. We thank the Coffs Harbour Clubs for investing in their community.

Port Waratah Coal

Community Investment Funding (2019)

Port Waratah Coal Services has awarded us with a $5000 grant for 10 Winds of Joy sails for the Newcastle community. Thanks also to one of our volunteers from Newcastle, Scott Parkinson for his support with this grant.


ILC Grants (2019)

Information, Linkages and Capacity Building is about community inclusion. It's about creating connections between people with a disability and the communities they live in. We are using the grant to fund two projects. 

Club Liverpool

Club Grants (2019)

We were successful with our application to Club Liverpool and received a grant to increase the number of people with a disability from the Liverpool area accessing the Winds of Joy program.

Carers NSW

National Carers Week (2018 & 2019)

The NSW Department of Family and Community Services funded Carers NSW provide us with a grant to contribute to providing a Winds of Care sail during National Carers Week in 2018 and 2019.

Arbonne Foundation

October / November 2018

The Arbonne Charitable Foundation funded $3700 towards training video costs and on water equipment for the Winds of Change program with Dulwich Hill School for Visual Arts and Design.

Office of Sport

Local Sport Grant Program (2018 - 2019)

This program supports the NSW Government’s commitment to enhance the quality of life of the people of NSW. The $2000 grant will be used to provide sailing experiences for people with disabilities or at a disadvantage.

$2000 in 2018 for wet weather safety equipment for Wright of Passage Youth participants.
